Bit of a platitude

I have always had a bit of a soft spot in my heart for Elmo and thought it interesting that he was played by a tall Black guy. So I was excited to see that Kevin Clash, who plays Elmo had written a book. I think I was expecting more of a biography and the book does have information on how his parents encouraged him. Still I thought it was a bit of a platitude. Not bad but not great.
